Petri Lehtinen is the artistic director of Ishmail Sandstroem – project. With fellow artists Petri creates light mandalas out of implements he uses to manage his diabetes, transforming former trash into present day treasure, a work of art. Each mandala is created through an improvisational process — a collaborative act between two artists sharing the same vision: to uncover the hidden sense of order within chaos.
